Broncos Host San Jose State on Pink Night

THIS WEEK IN BOISE STATE GYMNASTICS:
 
The 16th-ranked Boise State gymnastics team returns home after three home meets to host the San Jose State Spartans, Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in Taco Bell Arena. The meet is the annual "Pink Night" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.


TICKETS: 
Tickets will be available at the door for $6 (Adult) and $4 (Junior/Senior) of free with a Boise State student I.D. Fans who wear pink can receive a ticket for $3.

ALL-TIME SERIES: 
The Broncos and Spartans hold a 29-6-1 all-time record with Boise State holding the advantage. They most recently met at the 2013 Western Athletic Conference Championships (March 23).

BOISE STATE "BRONCOS": 
Boise State (10-3) enters its seventh week of the season ranking 16th in the GymInfo National Weekly Poll. The Broncos are the ninth-ranked team in the country on the uneven bars, 14th on vault, 20th on floor exercise and 23rd on balance beam. The Broncos have scored a season-high team total of 196.325, done at the Chicago Style Invite. 

Ciera Perkins leads the Broncos in individual top-100 event rankings. Perkins sits at 13th on bars, 22nd on floor and 32nd on vault. Amanda Otuafi joins her on vault at 35th, while Kelsey Black joins on bars at 81st. Kelsey Morris and Maddie Krentz also rank on floor, sitting at 77th and 93rd, respectively, while Morris also ranks 53rd in the all-around. Paige Urquhart is the sole Bronco to hold a top-100 spot on beam this week, sitting at 76th.  

This week's meet at home will be the first of three-straight meets in Taco Bell Arena.

SAN JOSE STATE "SPARTANS": 
San Jose State (6-9) enters the week as the 27th-ranked team in the GymInfo National rankings. The Spartans sit at 26th on beam, 28th on floor, 30th on bars and 37th on vault as a team in the national event rankings. SJSU holds a season-high best of 195.40 scored two weeks ago at UC Davis.

The Spartans are led by Julia Greer who ranks 37th on floor, 65th on beam and 99th on bars, as well as Cassandra Harrison who ranks 37th in the all-around and 76th on beam. Cami Guyer and Bekah Gher join Harrison in the all-around rankings, sitting at 61st and 83rd, respectively.
