Broncos Travel to San Jose State Quad Meet

What's Happening:
The No. 12-ranked Boise State gymnastics team heads back on the road, traveling to their first Western Athletic Conference away meet at San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif. There the Broncos will take on the No. 34-ranked SJSU Spartans, No. 39-ranked UC Davis and No. 57-ranked Seattle Pacific on Fri., Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. (Mountain) in Spartan Gym.

Weekly Rankings:
Boise State enters the week ranked No. 12 in the country. The Broncos also rank No. 13 on vault, No. 15 on bars, are tied for No. 18 on beam and are No. 16 on floor. San Jose State ranks No. 34 in the nation with ranks of No. 32 on vault, No. 34 on bars, No. 41 on beam and No. 18 on floor. UC Davis is ranked No. 39 in the nation, while also ranking No. 45 on vault, No. 43 on bars, No. 38 on beam and No. 41 on floor. Seattle Pacific ranks No. 57 in the country, as well as No. 63 on vault, No. 60 on bars, No. 60 on beam and No. 50 on floor.

All-Time Series:
Boise State will be meeting the Seattle Pacific Falcons for the second time this season, earning a win at their season opener on Jan. 15, 2011. The Broncos hold a 47-9 record over the Falcons, including 29 straight wins. Boise State and San Jose State meet for the 33rdth time in history, with Boise State holding 13-1 lead. UC Davis earned the most recent win however, earning a victory on Mar. 2, 2007 over Boise State.   time in history with the Broncos leading the series 26-5-1, including a five meeting win streak. Record Watch:
This past weekend two Broncos make big strides in the Boise State record books. Hannah Redmon's 18th career win on floor set the new Boise State all-time career floor wins record, surpassing Julie Wagner, who she was tied with at 17 wins prior to Friday's meet. She now has 17 wins on vault which ties her for No. 2 all-time in career vault wins. She also had an eighth win on bars which was good for a tie for the No. 6 all-time career bars wins spot. Redmon's 9.90 on bars tied her for the No. 22-best score in school history on the event, while also tying the No. 18 spot on floor with her 9.925 score.

Amy Glass improved to nine career all-around wins, good for No. 5 on Boise State all-around career wins list, while also improving to five career beam wins, tying her for No. 9. She has tallied three beam wins this season, putting her in a tie for No. 10 in a season at Boise State, while also earning four all-around wins this season, tying her for fifth in all-time season wins. Her all-around score tied her for No. 19 in Boise State's record books, while her beam mark ties her for No. 14 all-time.

Boise State "Broncos":
Boise State jumps three spots in the national rankings this week, now sitting at No. 12. They hold a 3-3 record and have a team season-best of 196.175 and an average of 195.038.

The Broncos have five individuals ranked in the nation's top-100 with Amy Glass leading the way with her No. 2 beam ranking. Glass also ranks No. 6 in the all-around, is tied for No. 18 on vault, is tied for No. 26 on floor and tied for No. 58 on bars. Hannah Redmon ranks No. 30 (tied) on vault, No. 33 (tied) on bars and is tied for No. 89 on floor. Hailey Gaspar enters the ranks this week, sitting in a tie for No. 18 on vault and tied for No. 67 on beam. Brittany Potvin-Green leads the team on bars with a tied for No. 18 rank, while Bekah Gher enters the ranks for the first time tied at No. 100 on beam.

San Jose State "Spartans":
San Jose State enters the week ranked No. 34 in the nation, as well as holding a 6-2 record on the season. The Spartans boast a season-high of 194.70 as well as a 193.10 average.

The Spartans have three ranked gymnasts with Thomasina Wallace leading the way with three rankings. Wallace ranks as high as tied for No. 53 on bars, while also tying for No. 54 in the all-around and tying for No. 88 on vault. Lily Swann is tied for No. 83 in the all-around, while also tied for No. 86 on vault. Katie Valleau rounds out the ranked Spartans sitting in a tie for No. 16 on floor.  


UC Davis "Aggies":
UC Davis enters the week ranked No. 39 in the nation while also having a 6-1 record. The team has scored as high as 192.60 this season and has an average of 192.065.

The Aggies boast two nationally ranked individuals including Michelle Ho who holds the top ranking at No. 66 (tie) on floor. Marcy Miller also is ranked, sitting at No. 93 in the all-around.

Seattle Pacific "Falcons":
Seattel Pacific holds a No. 57 ranking this week as well as a 191.150 season-high. The team holds a 0-7 record and an average of 188.940.

The Falcons have one nationally ranked top-100 gymnast this week with Anissa Madrid sitting in a tie for No. 90 on beam.
