Glass Shares Third Straight WAC Gymnast of the Week Honor

DENVER - Boise State's Amy Glass and San Jose State's Thomasina Wallace have been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Co-Gymnasts of the Week, while Southern Utah's Ari Lamb has been named Verizon WAC Specialist of the week for January 24-30.

Glass, a junior from Vacaville, Calif. (Davis Gymnastics) won the all-around title, as well as titles on vault and beam at a dual meet against Arizona. Glass remains undefeated in the all-around this season, winning her third-straight title this past week. Glass posted an all-around mark of 39.250 and won titles on vault and beam with scores of 9.850 and 9.850, respectively.

Wallace, a junior from Pomona, Calif. (Charter Oak Gliders) won or tied for first on all four events and the all-around this past week in a dual meet against Sacramento State. Wallace won the all-around title with a 39.250, tying her for the seventh-highest score in school history. She also won on vault (9.900), on bars (9.825), on beam (9.675) and on the floor (9.850).

Lamb, a senior from Eagan, Minn. (Great Northern Gymnastics) tallied the highest mark for SUU this season with a 9.925 on beam to capture the individual title at the Brigham Young quad meet. The mark is the second-highest score in school history and ranks No. 3 all-time in the record books.
