LOGAN, Utah--Bronco junior Maddie Krentz has earned the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Specialist of the Week honors, the conference announced on Sunday. This is Krentz' first MRGC weekly accolade.

The junior captain scored a 9.925 on vault in a quad meet against Utah, Southern Utah and UC Davis. Krentz captured the individual vault title for her first-ever career event win. Krentz also posted a 9.750 on bars and a team-leading 9.80 on floor.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference is one of only two NCAA Division I gymnastics-only conferences in the nation and is made up of member institutions: Boise State University (Boise, Idaho), Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), the University of Denver (Denver, Colo.), Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah) and Utah State University (Logan, Utah).

The Broncos will host their home opener, taking on Southern Utah in Taco Bell Arena on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. The meet will be part of Beauty and the Beast with Boise State wrestling.
