Broncos Selected as MRGC Preseason Favorites

LOGAN, Utah -- The Broncos finished first in the 2015 Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference announced Wednesday. The Broncos recorded 15 points for first place, narrowly edging the reigning conference champion Denver Pioneers (14).

The 19th-ranked Broncos will enter the 2015 season as the highest nationally-ranked team in the MRGC. Boise State seniors Kelsey Morris and Ciera Perkins will lead the Broncos this season. Morris was named the 2014 MRGC bars and all-around champion, while Perkins garnered MRGC Gymnast of the Year honors with conference titles on bars and floor exercise. Sophomore Diana Mejia took home top honors in her rookie season, earning MRGC Co-Freshman of the Year accolades.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference is one of only two NCAA Division I gymnastics-only conferences in the nation and is made up of member institutions: Boise State University, Brigham Young University, the University of Denver, Southern Utah University and Utah State University.
