THIS WEEK IN BOISE STATE GYMNASTICS:

The No. 23-ranked Boise State gymnastics team begins its season Saturday (Jan. 11) with a quadrangular competition in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Broncos will take on No. 6-ranked Utah, BYU and Southern Utah in the annual Deseret First Duel hosted by the Utes at the Huntsman Center.

ALL-TIME SERIES:
Boise State leads Southern Utah 28-20 in the all-time series, winning their past three meetings, including a pair in 2013. The Broncos also faced BYU in 2013, winning their sixth straight over the Cougars; however, BYU leads the overall series 35-15. Boise State has faced Utah 12 times in school history, falling each of those meetings, including their most recent in 2010.

BRONCO BRIEFING:

Co-head coaches Tina Bird and Neil Resnick enter their seventh season at the helm of the Boise State gymnastics program. The duo has compiled a 113-37 record over their six completed seasons, as well as four conference titles.     

BRONCO WELCOME:
Boise State welcomes the return of three seniors, two juniors and four sophomores to the 2014 roster. Kelsey Black, Alessandra Cinfio and Amanda Otuafi will lead the team as seniors, while juniors Kelsey Morris and Ciera Perkins join as the team's upperclassmen. Krystine Jacobsen, Maddie Krentz, Molly McFarland and Marissa Wossner join for their second season with the team.

Seven freshmen join the roster, including Mackenzie Bennion, Mary Frances Bir, McKenna Bird, Sandra Collantes, Brooke Graham, Diana Mejia and Paige Urquhart.
