Broncos Picked to Top WAC in Preseason Coaches' Poll

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State gymnastics team was selected as the top pick in the 2013 Western Athletic Conference preseason gymnastics coaches' poll, as voted on by the head coaches of the league. The Broncos were selected as the favorite to win this year's WAC championship title, earning the top spot with 25 points and five first place votes.

Boise State, who was picked No. 15 in the 2013 national preseason coaches' poll, has won three of the last five WAC championship titles. Their most recent title was earned in 2011, while the Broncos as an independent in 2012. 

Denver, the 2012 WAC champion, was picked to finish second this season with 21 points and one first place vote. Southern Utah was selected third with 16 points, while Sacramento State was picked fourth with 11 points. San Jose State earned the fifth spot with 10 points and Utah State finished sixth in the poll with seven points.

The 2013 Western Athletic Conference gymnastics championship will take place at the Centrum Arena in Cedar City, Utah on Saturday, March 23.
