Three Golfers Finish In the Top 25 at USF/Richmond Invite

SAN FRANCISCO - Three Boise State University golfers posted top 25 scores as the Broncos finished in seventh place at the USF/Richmond Country Club Invitational Tuesday, Nov. 6.

 

Mandi Hedberg led all Boise State golfers with a 16-over 229 as she finished tied for 15th. Hedberg was consistent throughout the tournament as she registered a 76 (+5) in the first round, a 77 (+6) in the second and closed out with another 76 (+5). This is the best finish and three-round score for Hedberg during fall play.

 

Nikki Olson earned her third top 25 finish this season with a 17-over 230. This is the fourth time in five fall tournaments Olson has either led or finished second on the team in scoring. She is now averaging 77.2 strokes per round.

 

Iris Ocariza collected her second top 25 finish of the season as she posted a 231 (+18) to finish tied for 19th on the par 71, 5,955-yard course. Ocariza registered the low-round score for the Broncos at the tournament when she fired a 3-over 74 in the second round.

 

Lindsey Shean shot a 237 (+24) to finish tied for 29th place, while Minhee Park posted a 255 (+42) to round out the scoring for the Broncos.

 

Boise State women’s golf will resume Feb. 25 with the Fresno State Lexus Classic in Fresno, Calif.
