Oct. 23, 2015

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women’s golf team will depart for Kiawah Island, S.C., for their final tournament of the fall season, the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The College of Charleston-hosted tournament will run Oct. 25-27 at the par-72, 5,972-yard Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

The first round will tee off on Sunday at 7 a.m. (MT) from the first and 10th tees.

Living scoring will be provided at golfstat.com

The 20-team field will consist of the host Cougars, Augusta University, Boston University, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Furman, Illinois, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Louisville, Maryland, South Florida, Stetson, Tulsa, Virginia Tech and Xavier.

It will be good to see some east coast teams because we haven't played them head to head before, and it will help our ranking be more accurate,” Boise State head coach Nicole Bird said. “We get a head to head against everyone in the country, whether we play them or not, and it will be good to actually know whether we can beat them or not and if it's accurate. It will be interesting for sure, because we can't compare ourselves since we haven't met up with most of these teams.”

Competing for the Broncos will be:

  1. McKenzie Ford
  2. Samantha Martin
  3. Genevieve Ling
  4. Sammie Pless
  5. Dana Clary
