Fall Finale Set for So Cal

The Broncos will conclude their fall season this weekend at the Cal Poly Lady Mustang Invitational from Oct. 22-23 in Arroyo Grande, Calif., at Cypress Ridge Golf Course. 18 holes will be played on Saturday followed by the final 18 on Sunday.

WHEN: The first round will begin at 9 a.m. (MT) on Saturday morning in a shotgun start.

LIVE SCORING: There will not be any live scoring available for this tournament.

THE COURSE: Cypress Ridge Golf Course | Par 72, 6,011 yards

A Peter Jacobsen Signature Course, Cypress Ridge Golf Course is an award winning golf course located on the Central Coast of California. Located in Arroyo Grande, Cypress Ridge has a beautiful course layout that has many elevation changes, ocean views and stunning cypress trees.

THE FIELD: Boise State, Cal Baptist, Cal Poly, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Holy Names, Northern Colorado, Santa Clara and Northern Colorado.

LAST TIME OUT: Boise State competed last two weeks ago at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational where they took sixth place (323-312-312 = 947). Senior Dana Clary (83-77-76 = 236) was the top finisher on the team and tied for 28th place individually.

Genevieve Ling (78-78-81 = 237) took 30th place, Adara Pauluhn (78-78-82 = 238) tied for 31st and freshman Valentine Lacaze (84-79-76 = 239) wasn’t far behind, tying for 33rd.

After a tough first round, Boise State improved in the second round and was the only team in the field to improve upon their first round score in what turned out to be a windy day in Las Cruces, N.M. At the conclusion of the third round, the Broncos had rallied to jump four teams to take sixth place overall.

WARMING UP TO SO CAL: The Broncos’ appearance in Arroyo Grande, Calif., this weekend will mark the first of three tournaments that the Blue and Orange will compete in within the Southern California Region. Boise State will play at The Gold Rush at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif., from Feb. 27-28 and at the Mountain West Championships at the Dinah Shore Course in Rancho Mirage, Calif., from April 17-19.
