Women's Golf Departs for Tacoma

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women’s golf team returns to action with the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational, Oct. 16-17.

SCHEDULE: 54 holes will be played over two days. The first two rounds will be held Monday, Oct. 16, beginning at 9 a.m. (MT). The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday, Oct. 17, starting at 9 a.m. (MT).

LIVE RESULTS: Live results will be provided by birdiefire.com.

THE COURSE: Play will be held at the prestigious Tacoma Country and Golf Club, in Tacoma, Wash. The traditional style course will play at par-72, 6,086-yard.

THE FIELD: Boise State, Seattle U, British Columbia, CSUN, Grand Canyon, Gonzaga, Houston Baptist, Idaho State, Montana, North Dakota State, Sam Houston State, UC Irvine, UMKC, Utah Valley, Washington, Weber State (16)

LAST TIME OUT: Lobelo and Perry battled through tough weather to finish in the top 15 at the Chip-N Club Invitational (Oct. 1-3). Boise State finished sixth in the team standings (941, +77), with the team’s final two round scores being lower than their first.

NEW PLACES, NEW FACES: This will be the third different lineup Boise State uses on the season. On the year, eight different golfers have seen action.

GAINING TRACTION: This will be the most experienced lineup Boise State has used this season, even with three newcomers cracking the lineup for this week’s tournament. With Bonfilio – a junior – making her season debut, the starting lineup enter the week with 28 prior NCAA events.

LOBELO STARTS STRONG: Lobelo has already begun to make a name for herself in limited action. The freshman has led Boise State through their first two tournaments, recording her first career top 10 last time out. Lobelo’s worst showing this season still gave her a top 25 finish at tied for 13th.
