LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Boise State women’s golf team improved on its first-round score, moving up the leaderboard on the second day of the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate, Tuesday.

The Broncos posted a second-round total of 305 (+17), improving by nine strokes from day one and moving into 13th place with a total of 619 (+43).

Junior Lori Harper led the way for Boise State during the second round, posting a 1-over-par 73. Her two-round total of 152 (+8) is the lowest for the Broncos entering Wednesday’s final round. She is currently tied for 38th, just three strokes back of the top 25.

Sitting just one stroke back of Harper is fellow junior Hayley Young, who has carded a 36-hole total of 153 (+9).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos are sophomore Jenna Leurquin (157, +13), senior Maria Santisteban (158, +14) and senior Katie Somers (163, +19).
