BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women’s golf team is in fifth place after the first day of the 2007 Bronco Fall Invitational with a 648 (+72).

 

Mandi Hedberg is tied for 16th place with a 16-over 160. She posted a 82 (+10) in the first round and a 78 (+6) in the second round to lead the Broncos in scoring.

 

Nikki Olson dropped seven strokes from her first round score of 84 (+12) to move into a tie for 20th place with a 161 (+17).

 

Iris Ocariza remained constant throughout the first day of competition as she registered an 82 (+10) in the first round and an 81 (+9) in the second to stand tied for 28th place through two rounds.

 

Lindsey Shean is tied for 32nd place with a 164 (+20) and Minhee Park posted a 175 (+31) to round out the scoring for the Boise State team.

 

Jana Mosesson who is competing as an individual registered a 163 (+19) to tie for 28th place.

 

The teams battled frost and high winds for the early part of the morning at the par 72, 6,193-yard Falcon Crest Golf Club in Kuna, Idaho. The tee off was delayed for an hour because of frost Monday morning and Tuesday’s tee times have been pushed back 30 minutes to 9:00 a.m. (MT).
