Boise State Hosts Bronco Fall Invitational

What’s Happening The Boise State University women’s golf team will host its first and only tournament of the fall season Oct. 9-10, at the par-71, BanBury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho.


Monday will feature 36-holes beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.  Tuesday’s competition will feature 18-holes and will also be a shotgun start. 


The Teams The Bronco Fall Invitational will feature 16 teams including a split-squad by Boise State.  The field is set with Nebraska, BYU, Montana, Montana State, Portland, Portland State, Weber State, UC Davis, Idaho State, Wyoming, South Dakota State, Santa Clara, Xavier, Eastern Washington and the University of British Columbia.


Last Time Out At the Colorado University Heather Farr Memorial Invitational the Broncos captured an eighth place finish by shooting a 931 (+67).  The high winds affected the finals round scores dramatically but it did not prevent Boise State from finishing in the upper half of the 17-team field.


The Players The Broncos will be divided into two teams, the Blue and the Orange, to round out the field.  The Blue team will feature seniors Katie Street and Lindsey Huebert, sophomores Mandi Hedberg and Lindsey Shean, as well as freshman Iris Ocariza.  The Orange squad will consist of juniors Nikki Olson, Jana Mosesson and Amanda Nave, as well as sophomore Mallory Rhead and freshman Minhee Park.


At the Heather Farr Memorial Invitational Street finished in seventh place after shooting a 10-over par, 226.


Street was joined in the top 15 by Ocariza who posted a 229 (+13) to share possession of 14th place.
