PULLMAN, Wash. (9/22/2009) - Boise State University’s women’s golf team fired a 329 (+41) during today’s second round at the Washington State University Inland Cup in Pullman, Wash.  The Broncos managed to maintain its 10th place position it held following Monday’s session but fell further behind the leaders at the end of the day.

Boise State entered today’s second round 17 strokes out of first place. Unfortunately, the Broncos struggled this afternoon while other teams picked up the pace to force some separation between the top core group and the rest of the pack. Boise State currently stands at 653 (+77) 14 strokes behind Portland State (639, +63) in ninth place.

Iris Ocariza recorded the best round of the day for Boise State tallying a six-over-par 78 to give her a tournament total of 160 (+16), good for moving up 10 spots into a six-way tie for 31st.  Hayley Young followed Ocariza by turning in a seven-over 79. The freshman improved eight positions and is now in a five-way tie for 47th with a 163 (+19).

Rounding out the day for Boise State’s team tally was Jennifer Henningsson with a 85 (+13), Lori Harper followed with a 87 (+15), while Minhee Park carded a 94 (+22).  Freshman Emma Dahlqvist who is competing as an individual recorded a 15-over 87.

Boise State will attempt to move up in the standings Wednesday morning during the final round of the WSU Inland Cup at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
