Women's Golf Hosts Bronco Fall Invitational

Sept. 15, 2013

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State women's golf team will host its only tournament of the 2013-14 season Sept. 16-17, the Bronco Fall Invitational at Falcon Crest Golf Club in Kuna, Idaho.

It will be the first tournament the Broncos have hosted in five years. The last time Boise State hosted a tournament - the 2008 Bronco Fall Invitational - the team tied for medalist honors.

Falcon Crest will play at a par 72 and at 6,158 yards for the tournament.

Joining the Broncos in the field will be Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Idaho State, Montana State, Portland State, Santa Clara, Utah Valley and Weber State.

The event will begin with a shotgun start Monday at 8:30 a.m., and the teams will tee off both the front and back nine for the final round, beginning at 8 a.m.

Admission is free to the general public, but for those that can't make it out to the course, live, three-hole scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.

Boise State returns a trio of sophomores that finished last season ranked 20th-nationally in the Golfstat Freshmen Class Impact rankings, and after redshirting last season, Jenna Leurquin also returns to action for 2013-14.

In addition to the four returners, the Broncos welcome five freshmen this season: Dana Clary, Jamie Donizio, Genevieve Ling, Oceane Pelloille and Haliee Pieper.

Competing for the Broncos' team score will be Samantha Martin, Sammie Pless, Ling, Clary and Pelloille. Competing as individuals will be Leurquin, Donizio and Pieper.
