Ling Garners Postseason Accolade
April 30, 2015

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - On the heels of becoming the second women's golfer in school history to earn an invitation to the NCAA Regional Championships, sophomore Genevieve Ling was named second-team All-Mountain West, Thursday.

The all-conference awards were voted on by the league's head coaches.

Ling is the third Bronco to garner all-league consideration since Boise State joined the Mountain West, and the 14th women's golfer in school history to earn a nod to an all-league team.

Earlier this week Ling was selected to participate at the East Regional, set for May 7-9, at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C. The last - and only - previous Bronco to be honored with an individual invitational to the postseason was Acey Erlandson in 2000.

Ling averaged 74.07 in 2014-15, the lowest single-season scoring average all-time at Boise State.

Her seven top-25 finishes and four top-10 finishes this season are each tied for the fourth most in school history. Included was a victory at the Cowgirl Classic, where she became just the 10th women's golfer in school history to win a tournament.
