Boise State Places 18th at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. (3/27/2010) - Boise State University's women's golf team recorded a three-round score of 964 (+100) to finish in 18th place at the Mountain View Collegiate Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.  The Broncos shot a 326 (+38) during today's final 18 holes at Mountain View Golf Club. Colorado State and Texas Tech tied atop the leaderboard with 26-over 890s. However, Colorado State was awarded the team title with a tie breaking procedure.

Hayley Young led Boise State in Arizona with a team-best 17-over 233 to tie for 58th. The freshman shot a 5-over 77 this afternoon to close the tournament. She finished 14 strokes back of Missouri's Julia Potter and Texas Tech's Gabriella Dominguez who tied for the individual title with 3-over 219s.  

Iris Ocariza was second for the Broncos with a 19-over 235 after firing a 83 (+11) today. Lori Harper was third carding a 13-over 85 on the final 18 giving her a tournament total of 246 (+30). Katie Somers followed with a 251 (+35) while Minhee Park finished at 254 (+38).

Next up for Boise State is the Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas, April 12-13.
