Young Leads Bronco Women at Anteater Invitational

DOVE CANYON, Calif. – Junior Hayley Young led the Boise State women’s golf team at the Anteater Invitational Tuesday, tying for the fourth-lowest round of the day.

Young carded a 2-over 73 at the par-71, 5,911-yard Dove Canyon Country Club, a final-round score that was bested by only three golfers in the 80-woman field.

She and fellow junior Lori Harper each finished the tournament with three-round totals of 241 (+28), tying for 49th.

Redshirt junior Michelle Gooding (252; +39) and seniors Maria Santisteban (260; +47) and Katie Somers (264; +51) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

Boise State finished 15th with a team score of 990 (+138).

Next up for the Broncos is a duel against Idaho State, scheduled for Saturday (March 31) at BanBury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho.
