Boise State Heads to Tucson for Mountain View Collegiate Invitational...
► What’s Happening
Boise State University’s women’s golf team is off to Arizona for its third spring tournament and second in the Grand Canyon state. This week the Broncos will take part in the University of Colorado’s Mountain View Collegiate Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. The 18-team competition will be played Friday through Saturday at Mountain View Golf Club. Note: There will not be any live scoring over the internet for this event, results will be available following each day’s competition.

► Recently for the Broncos
Boise State is coming off a 12th-place finish out of 19 teams at the Northern Migration Invitational March 15-17. The Broncos shot a three-round score of 933 (+69) and were led by Iris Ocariza who carded a tournament total of 14-over 230 to place in a three-way tie for 26th.

► Mountain View Collegiate Invitational Tournament Format
The format for this tournament calls for three rounds played over two days. The first 36 holes will be played on Friday, March 26, followed by the final 18 on Saturday. The competition will begin each day by shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (Mountain).

► The Host Course
This event is being held at Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. For this competition the club will feature  a 6,126 yard course for a par 72.

► The Field
Overall the field features 18 NCAA Division I institutions. In addition to two WAC schools the competition also includes six top-60 teams according to Golf Stat’s March 24th national rankings.  The institutions participating this week are WAC members Boise State and No. 36 San Jose State; other nationally ranked teams include No. 37 UNLV, No. 52 Texas Tech, No. 55 Baylor, No. 56 Wisconsin and No. 58 Iowa State. The remaining field includes: the host school Colorado, BYU, Colorado State, Gonzaga, Indiana, Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Northern Arizona, Sacramento State and Washington State.  Over 90 collegiate athletes will compete for the team and individual titles.

► Boise State’s Tournament Roster
The Bronco lineup for this week includes both seniors in Iris Ocariza and Minhee Park, sophomore Katie Somers, along with two freshmen  Hayley Young and Lori Harper. Ocariza will open at the number one position, Young will follow at the second position, with Harper at the three, Park at the four and Somers rounding out the roster at the fifth spot.
