Young, Leurquin Post Top-25 Finishes
FRESNO, Calif. – Boise State women’s golfers Hayley Young and Jenna Leurquin recorded top-25 finishes at the Fresno State Lexus Classic Tuesday, finishing tied for 20th and tied for 22nd, respectively, at the opening tournament of the spring season.

Young led the Broncos with her three-round total of 230 (+14) at the par-72, 6,072-yard Copper River Country Club, notching her fourth top-25 finish in five tournaments this year. It was also her 11th-career top-25 finish, moving her into sole possession of ninth place on Boise State’s all-time career list.

Leurquin finished the event with a total of 232 (+16), and now has two-consecutive top 25s dating back to the fall finale.

Boise State finished tied for 11th as a team with a score of 944 (+80).

Michelle Gooding (238; +22), Maria Santisteban (245; +29) and Lori Harper (246; +29) rounded out the scoring for the Broncos.

Boise State will continue its spring season in two weeks, playing in the Anteater Invitational March 26-27, in Trabuco Canton, Calif.
