Boise State Heads to St. George

The Broncos will continue their spring season this week when they head St. George, Utah to compete in the BYU Entrada Classic on Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 at Entrada at Snow Canyon. Boise State will be looking to carry over the momentum generated from its fourth-place finish at the Red Rocks Invitational (March 4-5) in Sedona, Ariz.

WHEN: 36 holes will be played on Monday with a shotgun start set for 8:30 a.m. The third round on Tuesday morning will also go off at 8:30 a.m.

THE COURSE: Entrada at Snow Canyon | Par 72 | 6,168 yards

The forecast for both days calls for sunny skies and 80-degree weather.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos (295-301-305 = 901, +37) finished strong at the Red Rocks Invitational roughly 10 days ago and took fourth place for their best finish of the year. Genevieve Ling (69-69-77 = 215) tied for second place individually, wrapping up the three rounds at 1-under par. The 215 was tied for the fifth-best 54-hole total in Boise State history and is also the senior's lowest 54-hole score of her career.

Fellow senior Dana Clary (73-75-72 = 220) also was outstanding as she tied for sixth place to give her the best finish of her Bronco career. Clary used an even-par 72 - the second-lowest round of her career - in the final round to cement her first top-10 finish of the season.

Jalayne Martinez (76-79-79 = 234) took 39th and was steady all week, posting the lowest 54-hole total of her young Bronco career.

LING IS ON FIRE: The senior has tallied the 21st and 22nd top-25 finishes of her career in the past two tournaments. Her 22 career top-25 finishes is the second most for any golfer in school history, trailing only Samantha Martin (29).
