Boise State in 10th after day two of Pinehurst Challenge

PINEHURST, N.C. The Boise State University women’s golf team is in 10th place with a 632 (+56) through two rounds of play at the 2008 Pinehurst Challenge.


Nikki Olson leads the Broncos with a 13-over 157. She posted a 76 (+4) in the opening round and followed it up with an 81 (+9) to stand tied for 28th place.


Minhee Park is tied for 41st with a 159 (+15). She posted a career-best 76 (+4) in the first round before posting an 83 (+11) in the second.


Mandi Hedberg and Iris Ocariza are tied for 54th place with a 17-over 161, while Lindsey Shean registered a 162 (+18) to stand tied for 61st through two rounds of play.


The Broncos posted a 314 (+26) in the opening round to hold sole possession of fifth place after day one, but posted a 318 (+30) on day two to fall back into 10th place.


The third and final round of the Pinehurst Challenge will be held Mar. 11, at the Pinehurst #8 golf course.
