Loaded Field Awaits Broncos in Long Beach

BOISE, Idaho- The Boise State women’s golf team will continue their spring season with the Long Beach State hosted The Gold Rush, Feb. 22-23.

The tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,157-yard Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif.

Joining Boise State and tournament host Long Beach State in the field will be Boston College, BYU, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Idaho, Ole Miss, Sacramento State, UC Irvine and Golfstat No. 1 ranked USC.

Mountain West rivals Colorado State, Fresno State and Nevada will also be in the field.

“This is a great field and we are excited to play,” Boise State head coach Nicole Bird said. “We are a lot more confident and had a great week of practice that included two holes- in-one. Our focus this week is really celebrating good shots and working on our team synergy so that we can shoot our best on the same day at the same time.

“We are looking at it as a practice round for conference when we all need to be able to come together and can do just that.”

The first and second rounds will be played Monday with an 8 a.m. PST shotgun start. The third and final round will be played Tuesday.
