BOISE, Idaho (1/10/2011) - Nicole Harris, Boise State's women's golf head coach, announced today the addition of Dave Bartels as an assistant coach. Bartels will serve as the program's swing coach and assist in the daily mentoring of the Broncos. Professionally, Bartels is a 12-year member of the Rocky Mountain Section of the PGA. He has been one of the leading golf instructors in the Treasure Valley for the last 11 years, based out of Pierce Park Greens in Boise.
"I'm very excited about the experience coach Bartels brings to our program," said Harris. "As we continue to develop our current team, he will assist with the swing mechanics of each individual. In addition, Dave will also help me in the recruiting process as we build for the future of the program. I know Coach Bartels will make a huge impact on the lofty team goals we've set this spring."
Bartels is a native of Boise attending Borah High School and Boise State University. He graduated from Boise State in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in social science. Dave and his wife, Becky, live in Boise.
