KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Boise State women's golf team concluded its fall season with a 16th-place finish at the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The Broncos had a three-round score of 921 (296-315-309, +57) on the par-72, 5,972-yard Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

"It was definitely windy and rainy, and the hour delay didn't help," Boise State head coach Nicole Bird said. "But the whole field has to play in the same conditions so I don't really think that was it. We just didn't play our best this week."\

Senior Samantha Martin led Boise State with a 226 (73-76-77, +10) and finished tied for 35th. Martin's nine birdies were tied for third in the 102-individual field.

Senior McKenzie Ford (74-80-75--229, +13) utilized a pair of birdies in the final round to move seven spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 53rd. Ford's seven birdies in the tournament was tied for seventh.

Senior Sammie Pless (75-82-82--239, +23) and juniors Genevieve Ling (74-77-76--228, +12) and Dana Clary (76-83-81--240, +24) rounded out the scoring for Boise State.

The Broncos now enter a three-and-a-half month offseason before returning to action at the Texas State Challenge at Landa in New Braunfels, Texas, Feb. 14-15.
