Young, Martin Remain in Top 25
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Senior Hayley Young and freshman Samantha Martin remained in the top 25 following the second round of the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational Tuesday, leading the way for the Boise State women’s golf team.

Young shot 74 (+2) at the par-72, 6,258-yard New Mexico State University Golf Course, and is among a contingent of golfers tied for 11th with a 36-hole score of 147 (+3). She will enter Wednesday’s final round one stroke back of the top 10.

Martin followed her opening-round even-par 72 with a 78 (+6) in the second round, and is currently tied for 25th at 150 (+6).

Fellow freshman Sammie Pless carded a career-low 73 (+1) in the second round, the lowest score by a Bronco on the day. Pless moved 18 spots up the leaderboard following the performance, and is tied for 30th with a two-round total of 151 (+7), one stroke back of the top 25.

Boise State posted a team score of 301 (+13) for the second-straight day, and is currently in eighth place with a 602 (+26).

The Broncos are two strokes back of a sixth-place tie between Nebraska and BYU, and seven strokes back of the top five. Kansas leads the tournament at 583 (+7).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos are freshman McKenzie Ford (78-76—154, +10) and senior Lori Harper (78-79—157, +13).
