LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Boise State sophomore women's golfer Sammie Pless moved into the top 10 after the second round of the Price's "Give `Em Five" Invitational Tuesday, leading a trio of Broncos in the top 25.

Pless carded a 1-under 71 at the 6,258-yard New Mexico State University Golf Course, inching up the leaderboard into a tie for ninth place. She began the day in a tie for 16th after opening the event with a 2-over 74.

With a 36-hole total of 145 (+1), she will enter the final round looking for her second top-10 finish of the season, and trailing tournament-leader A Ram Choi of Portland State by four strokes.

Freshman Genevieve Ling is tied for 11th, one stroke back of her sophomore teammate. Ling carded an even-par 72 Tuesday, and at 145 (74-71, +1), will also be looking for her second top-10 finish of the season.

Sophomore Samantha Martin carded a second-straight 2-over 74 (148, +4), and will enter the final round tied for 19th.

After improving on their first-round team score by six strokes, the Broncos moved into sixth place. Boise State will enter Tuesday's final round eight strokes back of the top three with a two-round total of 592 (299-293, +16).

UC Irvine leads the event at 577 (+1).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were sophomore McKenzie Ford (77-76--153, +9) and freshman Dana Clary (80-76--156, +12).
