FORT COLLINS, Colo. –
Three newcomers lead the Boise State women’s golf team at the conclusion of the first day of the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic, Sunday, at the Ptarmigan Country Club.

Freshman Alejandra Lobelo is a stroke back of the top 10 at tied for 12th after the first round. Lobelo shot 72 (E), in her first collegiate experience.

Lobelo’s five birdies is tied for third in the 84-individual field.

Fellow freshmen Lexi Perry and junior Ivane Helias – a transfer from NAIA Bellevue University – are in second and third on the young Bronco squad, after shooting 77 (+5) and 78 (+6), respectively on the first day.

Adara Pauluhn (81, +9) and Jalayne Martinez (85, +13) round out the scoring for the Broncos.

Boise State shot 308 (+20), on the opening day of competition.

The Broncos will return to action for the second round, Monday, with am tee time starting at 8 a.m. (MT). The third round will be held on Tuesday.
