Final Results

MARICOPA, Ariz.
– The Broncos (305-308-294 = 907) tallied their lowest round of the year on Friday at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in posting a 6-over 294 in the third and final round, giving them a 10th-place finish in the 18-team field.

“I’m really proud of how the team grinded out there today,” head coach Nicole Bird. ”We’ve been talking about getting four plyers to shoot 75 or better because that’s what we’ll need at the conference championships. We are doing the right things and they’re coming together at just the right time in our season. I’m especially proud of Kinsley for her breakthrough this week, and Dana and Gen were steady as always. It was really fun to watch them play today.”

Genevieve Ling (76-77-72 = 225) led the way in the final 18 with an even-par 72 to tie for 24th. Ling’s round started off rocky with a pair of bogeys on her first two holes, but the senior found her rhythm and was 2-under in the last 16 holes to secure the best score of the week for any Boise State player.

The top-25 finish is also the 23rd of her Bronco career, furthering strengthening her No. 2 spot on the top-25 finish all-time list at Boise State. She trails only Samantha Martin (2012-16) and her 29 top-25 finishes.

Dana Clary (76-74-73 = 223) enjoyed the top individual finish on the team in tying for 13th. The senior birdied three of her first six holes to set the tone in what was her lowest round of the tournament. The performance gives her three-straight top-25 finishes with her last two tournaments also qualifying as top-10 finishes (T7th and T6th).

Kinsley Bonfilio (73-79-75 = 227) was sensational yet again with a 3-over 75 in the third round. Her day peaked on the front nine as she was able to shoot a 1-under 35. She enjoyed the best three-round total of her career in tying for 34th.

Freshman Jalayne Martinez (80-78-74 = 232) showed tremendously resiliency in her final round. After doubling her first hole, she responded with 17-straight pars to right the ship and finish in a tie for 52nd place.

Valentine Lacaze (89-87-80 = 256) finished strong in her third round, carding an 8-over 80.
