Broncos Post Strong Second Round

Day One Results 

SEDONA, Ariz. –
A strong showing in the second round moved the Boise State women’s golf team up five spots on the team leaderboard into 10th, Saturday at the Red Rocks Invitational. The Broncos had an 11-stroke improvement in the second round, and are a combined 651 (326-315, +65) in the tournament, five strokes back of Montana.

Freshman Lexi Perry shot a 2-over 74 in the second round to move 35 spots up the leaderboard in the second round. Perry is a stroke back of the top 25, and only four strokes back of the top 10 at 157 (83-74, +13).

Valentine Lacaze shot 159 (79-80, +15) on the day, and is currently in a tie for 35th.

Alejandra Lobelo was even on the day, shooting 81 in both rounds for a combined 162 (+18), while Nicole Suppelsa is a stroke back at 163 (83-80, +19).

Kinsley Bonfilio (90-81 – 171, +27) round out the scoring for Boise State.

Tomorrow’s third and final round is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (MT).
