Broncos in Third at BYU Entrada Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah- The Boise State women's golf team sits in third place following the opening day of the BYU Entrada Classic.

The Broncos shot 612 (303-309, +36) through the first two rounds and are seven strokes back of Iowa in the team standings.

Senior Samantha Martin leads the Broncos and enters Tuesday's final round in second place.

Martin finished Monday with a score of 144 (73-71, E) with 27 pars -- tied for second in the field. The Los Angeles native is two strokes behind Lea Garner of host BYU.

Martin is seeking her fourth straight top 20 finish.

Junior Genevieve Ling joins Martin in the top 15, sitting in a tie for 12th place with Lauren Atkinson of BYU. Ling shot 151 (72-79, +7) in the opening two rounds.

Seniors McKenzie Ford (77-81--158, +14), Sammie Pless (81-78--159, +15) and freshman Adara Pauluhn (81-83--164, +20) round out the scoring for the Broncos.
