SAN JOSE, Cailf. - Boise State women's golf sophomore Sammie Pless is in the top 10 following the first two rounds of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, Monday.

Pless fired rounds of 74-73 at the par-72, 6,162-yard Almaden Golf and Country Club. She is tied for eighth place, and at 3-over through two rounds, is five strokes back of a first-place tie between Martina Edberg of CSU Fullerton and Sammi Stevens of New Mexico.

Fellow sophomore Samantha Martin will enter Tuesday's final 18 holes two strokes back of the top 25 following rounds of 78-74 (152, +8).

Boise State posted team scores of 307 (+19) and 302 (+14) in the first and second rounds, respectively, and will enter the final round in 11th.

The Broncos are two strokes back of Colorado State, and lead Fresno State and Nevada by three and 10 strokes, respectively.

Oregon, ranked 20th-nationally, leads the tournament at 588 (+12).

Sophomore McKenzie Ford (75-79--154, +10) and freshmen Genevieve Ling (80-76--156, +12) and Dana Clary (80-85--165, +21) rounded out the scoring for Boise State.

Tuesday's final round is scheduled to begin with a 9:30 a.m. (MT) shotgun start, and live results are available at Golfstat.com.
