Lexi Perry Tied For Seventh at Gold Rush

Boise State opened the spring season Monday in Long Beach, Calif.

FRESHMAN (2017-18): Appeared in all four tournaments of the fall season, recording two top 25 finishes . . . Tied for the team lead in the fall finale at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational (Oct. 31 – Nov. 1), finishing in a tie for 19th. Shot 223 (73-76-74, +7) while recording the first hole-in-one of her career in the third round (Hole 17, 153-yards) . . . Earned her first career top 25 finish at the Chip-N Club Invitational (Oct. 1-3), shot 78 for each round to finish tied for 15th . . . Finished a stroke back of the top 25 at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational (Oct. 16-17), shooting 235 (82-77-76, +19) . . . Was the No. 3 scoring Bronco in her collegiate debut, shooting 230 (77-74-79, +14) at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic (Sept. 17-19)

The 2016 Sacramento County Junior Champion and SJS Division 1 Medalist, Perry comes to Boise State as an accomplished junior golfer from El Dorado Hills, Calif. She took second at The Dropping Junior Championship in Boise in 2016, finishing just two strokes behind current Boise State freshman Jalayne Martinez.

While competing at Oak Ridge HS, Perry was a three-time All-League selection in the SFL and a two-time Oak Ridge HS Athlete of the Year. She was a two-time CIF State Individual Qualifier as well, including a top-40 finish as a sophomore in 2014. She just recently shot 75 at the NCGA/CIF Northern California Championship to tie for ninth earlier this month to qualify as an individual for the CIF State Championship.
