Brooke Pahukoa MW Player of the Week
Dec. 28, 2015

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State junior guard Brooke Pahukoa has earned Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played through Sunday, December 27, 2015. It is the second MW weekly award of Pahukoa’s career.

Brooke Pahukoa was instrumental in Boise State’s 84-79 road win at Eastern Washington on Dec. 21 to help Boise State to its third-consecutive victory to close the nonconference schedule.

Pahukoa scored a team and career-high 30 points to go with seven rebounds, one block and two steals in the Broncos’ five-point win.

The 30 points scored is tied for 13th most all-time in school history.

She scored 20 of her 30 points during the first half, then battled double teams and a constant shadow throughout the second half but still managed to record 10 points and three rebounds in the final 20 minutes.

Pahukoa finished the night shooting 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the floor, 42.9 percent (3-of-7) from 3-point range, in addition to hitting  nine free throws on 10 attempts (90 percent), both career highs for free throws made and attempted.

Boise State is the odd team out for the first round of league games Wednesday night, but will return to action on Saturday, January 2, at Fort Collins, Colo., in its Mountain West opener against preseason favorite Colorado State.
