Isham records third-consecutive 20-plus point game.
OGDEN, Utah (12/18/2010) - Weber State lit it up from the 3-point line as the Wildcats downed Boise State 79-70 Saturday evening in Ogden, Utah. The Broncos had their lone lead of the game at 25-23 with 3:03 left in the first period when the floor fell out from under them. The Wildcats hit five-of-six 3-pointers in the final three minutes to take a 38-29 lead into the half, a lead they never relinquished. Kati Isham led Boise State in the loss with her third-consecutive game with 20-plus points, finishing the night with 21.
Boise State started the night slow turning the ball over on its first possession and 10 times in the half. The Broncos fell behind by nine points, 20-11, with nine minutes to go, before rallying with a 14-3 run to take a two-point lead at 25-23 with 3:08 to play in the period.
However, Weber State’s Megan Patterson came to life from the 3-point arc hitting four-of-five attempts as the Wildcats exploded, storming back to take a 38-29 advantage into the break.
Up nine at the half, Weber State opened the second on a 9-2 run to take a game-high 16-point (47-31) lead three minutes into the final period. Boise State never quite recovered from the late first half run and quick start to the second half by the Wildcats who maintained a double-digit lead for most of the final 20 minutes.
Boise State did pull to within eight points, 75-67, with 32 seconds remaining, but it was little to late as the Wildcats snapped the Broncos’ two-game win streak with the nine-point 79-70 victory at the Dee Events Center.

The Broncos also out scored them 18 to 12 in second chance points, 34 to 22 on points in the paint, 23 to 21 in points off turnovers and 22 to 12 in bench points. All combined was not enough to overcome Weber State’s 3-point shooting.

Lauren Lenhardt followed with 15 points, a team-high nine rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes. Kinzi Poteet was the only other Bronco in double-figure points with 11 to go with eight boards.
