Lenhardt Named Mountain West Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State forward/center Lauren Lenhardt has earned Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for games played from Nov. 21-27, 2011. This marks the second time in Lenhardt's career that she has been named a conference player of the week. It is the first MW weekly honor for a Boise State women's basketball student-athlete.
Lenhardt, a 6-2 junior from Eagle, Idaho, led the Broncos to a 1-1 record last week with a 97-86 road loss to Utah State and a 68-58 home win over UC Riverside, improving Boise State's overall record to 4-2.  In her first start of the season, Lenhardt scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out one assist in the loss to the Aggies.  She scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half to keep the Broncos in the contest.  Against UC Riverside on Sunday, Lenhardt came off the bench in the first half to score 12 of her 20 points to keep UCR at arm's length. In the second half defensively, she held UCR's Natasha Hadley to just four points, after Hadley scored 18 in the first half.
