BOISE, Idaho (11/15/2009) - Tasha Harris scored 17 second-half points to lead Boise State to a 66-58 victory over Weber State in women's basketball Sunday afternoon in Boise. After trailing 2-0 the Broncos rolled off a 10-0 run and never trailed again as they remain perfect on the year. Weber State opened the game with a basket 12 seconds into the contest to take a 2-0 lead. Boise State responded with a 10-0 run to take control as the Broncos never trailed again. Each time Weber State made a run to get back into the contest Boise State rallied keeping the Wildcats at a distance throughout most of the game.

The Wildcats pulled to within two points with 11:12 to play in the opening period with a 8-2 run to close to 12-10. That proved to be the closest Weber State would get in the final 31 minutes as the Broncos finished the first half with a 15-5 run to take a 12-point lead, 27-15, lead into the break.

Julia Marshall scored a team-high seven points in the first 20 minutes to lead the Broncos in scoring at the break, seven of 11 players scored for Boise State in the first half.

However, a gutsy Weber State team refused to give up as they continued to battle back into the game pulling as close as six points, 62-56, with 52 seconds to play on a pair of free throws by Caitlin Anderson.

Boise State converted on four-of-six free throws, two makes apiece by Harris and Taylor McGilbra, in the final minute to hold the Wildcats off down the stretch as they pulled out to a 66-56 advantage with 17 seconds to play. Weber State hit the final shot of the game with 13 seconds left to cut the final margin to eight points at 66-58.
