Boise State Host North Dakota State Tuesday
It is a doubleheader Tuesday Night in Taco Bell Arena.

Boise State (1-0) will open the 2012-13 home schedule this Tuesday night, Nov. 13, when the North Dakota State Bison (2-0) come to town for the first meeting ever between the two programs.
START TIME: Tip between the Bison and Broncos is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. (Mountain), it is the first game of a doubleheader with the men at Taco Bell Arena.  
BOISE STATE'S RECORD:  The Broncos opened the season last Friday night with a 80-63 win on the road at Utah Valley in Orem, Utah. Last year, Boise State went 15-16 overall and 5-9 in Mountain West play to finish sixth.
NEXT FOR BOISE STATE:  Boise State will hit the road again on Wednesday, Nov. 14, when the Broncos travel back to Utah to play at Weber State Thursday night in Ogden.

For Tuesday's doubleheader in Taco Bell Arena anyone arriving before halftime of the women's contest will get into the doubleheader for the price of a regular women's game: $6 for adults, $4 for children high school age or younger and $4 for senior citizens. Boise State students are free with their ID card, but a student ticket is required.

  • ALL-TIME:  Boise State is 30-12 in home openers all-time, 8-5 in Bronco Gym and 22-7 in Taco Bell Arena.
  • UNDER PRESNELL:  The Broncos are 6-1 in home openers under head coach Gordy Presnell.
  • LAST YEAR:  Boise State defeated Southern Oregon 93-55 in Taco Bell Arena to open the season IN 2011. That was preceded by a 83-76 loss to Portland in 2010's home opener.

  • RECENTLY FOR BOISE STATE: Boise State opened the season last Friday night with a 80-63 road win at Utah Valley in Orem, Utah. Prior to that they won an exhibition game 92-36 over Lewis-Clark State on Nov. 2 in Boise.    
  • BOISE STATE'S RECORD: The Broncos are 1-0 on the year and went 15-16 overall in 2011-12. They went 1-0 in exhibition games this fall.  
  • RECENTLY FOR NORTH DAKOTA STATE: The Bison won two home games to open the season this past weekend defeating Harvard Friday night 81-72 and Mayville State 111-75 Sunday afternoon.
  • NDSU'S RECORD: The Bison have won two regular season games heading into Tuesday's contest in Boise and are 2-0 on the year.  
  • BRONCOS AT HOME: The Broncos finished last year 10-7 overall and 3-4 in MW play at home in Taco Bell Arena bringing their all-time mark to 254-132 (65.8 pct.) and 145-81 (64.2 pct.) in conference games since the facility opened in the fall of 1982.
  • BRONCOS ON THE ROAD: Boise State is currently 1-0 on the road this year. The Broncos went 5-9 on the road last year, 4-8 on the opponents home court, 1-1 on neutral floors (MW tournament). The Broncos were 2-5 in conference games.
  • THE BISON ON THE ROAD: This will be NDSU's first road game of the year, they went 3-14 on the road last year.
  • LEADING THE BRONCOS: Boise State is led by senior forward Lauren Lenhardt who recorded a double-double Friday night at UVU with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guard Brandi Henton hit five 3-pointers last time out and finished with 17 points, Eric Martinez, junior guard, added 10 points.  
  • LEADING THE BISON: The Bison have six players averaging double figure points after two games led by Miki Stephenson and Katie Birkel with 16.0 ppg apiece, followed by Liz Keena and Dani Degagne at 14.0 ppg.
  • COMPARING THE TEAMS: The game will feature Boise State's offense that scored 80 points at Utah Valley versus North Dakota State's that averaged 96 in two outings. Defensively, the Broncos held UVU to 63 points while the Bison have given up 73.5 ppg.
  • PRESEASON POLL: Boise State was picked to place seventh out of nine teams in the 2013 Mountain West race. NDSU was picked fourth out of nine schools in the Summit League.
  • THE COACHES: Carolyn DeHoff is entering her 6th season at NDSU where she is 58-62. Gordy Presnell is in his eighth season at Boise State where he is 126-94 (.573 pct.) and 522-221 (.702 pct.) in 25+ seasons all-time.

  • THE SERIES: Tuesday's encounter will be the first between North Dakota State and Boise State all-time.
  • VERSUS THE SUMMIT LEAGUE: The Broncos are 0-1 against the current membership of the Summit League with the loss coming to Western Illinois in 2000.
