Boise State Releases Complete Women's Basketball Schedule for 2013-14

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State released the complete 29 game 2013-14 women’s basketball schedule this afternoon. Boise State will play 11 non-conference games and 18 Mountain West Conference contests. In all, the Broncos will be home for 16 contests, plus one exhibition game, inside the friendly confines of Taco Bell Arena.

Boise State released its conference schedule a few weeks ago which included the 18 game slate for the newly expanded league. Today the Broncos unveiled the 11 non-conference match-ups including seven of them at home.

The official preseason training begins on Monday, Sept. 30, for the Bronco women. The start of competition for the blue and orange will begin on Monday, Nov. 4, with an exhibition contest against Southern Oregon in Taco Bell Arena.

The regular season begins in full on Friday, Nov. 8, with the first of a two-game homestand. The Broncos will entertain the Southern Utah Thunderbirds who are coached by former Boise State assistant coaches JR Payne and Toriano Towns. The homestand will conclude when Lewis-Clark State travels south from Lewiston, Idaho, for a Monday night, Nov. 11, encounter with the Broncos.

The first road trip of the season has Boise State traveling to former Western Athletic Conference rival New Mexico State in Las Cruces on Thursday, Nov. 14. The other three road trips include: at South Dakota on Nov. 24, at Portland on Dec. 8 and at Eastern Washington on Dec. 21.

The remaining five home games will feature: the College of Idaho on Nov. 20, Idaho State on Nov. 29, Utah Valley on Dec. 5, San Francisco on Dec. 14 and Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 29.

The game against Southern Utah will be a doubleheader with the men’s team, while the game on Nov. 29 will be part of a tripleheader day with the men’s basketball team and the volleyball team, times are still being worked out for that date. At this time December 14 will have the women’s team playing San Francisco at 1 p.m., while the men will play later that night at 7 p.m.

The Mountain West campaign begins on the road at Fresno State on Saturday, Jan. 4. The regular season ends at home on March 7 against Air Force, while the conference tournament will take place the week of March 10-15 in Las Vegas.

To catch all the action for women’s basketball fans can purchase the Bronco Sports Pass for $50 for the entire season, which also includes admission to all soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling, softball, as well as outdoor track & field events. The lone exception is doubleheaders with the men’s and women’s basketball teams. You can purchase the Bronco Sports Pass at the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office.

Single game tickets will remain the same as last year at $6 for adults, $4 for youth and senior citizens, while Boise State students get in free with their student ID. Single game tickets can only be purchased on game day at the arena box office.
