BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University released its 2017-18 women’s basketball schedule this morning featuring 15 regular season home games, including two versus Pacific-12 Conference members Washington and Washington State, as well as a trip to Hawaii. The current schedule includes 28 contests with room for one more that could be add this summer.

The season begins with an exhibition game on Nov. 5 against Carroll College (Mont.) followed by the regular season opener on Friday, Nov. 10, versus Northwest Christian in Taco Bell Arena.

The nonconference portion of the schedule at this time features 11 games highlighted by the two Pac-12 games and a trip to the Hawai’i Rainbow Wahine Classic. The trip to Hawaii will be second and third games of the season the weekend of Nov. 17-19 when the Broncos will face the San Diego Toreros in the opening round followed by the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in the second and final contest for Boise State at the event on the 19th.

Boise State will then return home to host Corban (Nov. 26) and Saint Mary’s (Nov. 30) to close the month of November.

The month of December will see the Broncos on the road for two nonconference encounters at Eastern Washington (Dec. 3) and at the University of Portland (Dec. 10). In addition, Boise State will wrap-up its nonconference slate before Christmas break with home contests against Washington (Dec. 7), Washington State (Dec. 18) and CSU Bakersfield (Dec. 20).

The Washington encounter concludes a home-an-home series with the Huskies who advanced to the round of 16 in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

After playing the last two years with the visiting team winning both encounters, Washington State and Boise State have extended their contract for another two years with the Cougars coming to Boise this year and the Broncos returning the trip in 2018.

Mountain West Conference play begins the week after Christmas with the Broncos opening league at Colorado State on Thursday, Dec. 28, in Fort Collins. They will close out 2017 by hosting the UNLV Lady Rebels on Saturday, Dec. 30.

The Broncos remaining eight home conference games include: Wyoming (Jan. 6), Fresno State (Jan. 10), Nevada (Jan. 20), Air Force (Jan. 27), New Mexico (Feb. 7), Utah State (Feb. 10), Colorado State (Feb. 21) and the home finale versus San Diego State (Feb. 27).

Boise State will close the regular season on Friday, March 2, in Laramie against the Wyoming Cowgirls.

In the 18-game conference format, Boise State’s two opponents in which they will face only once this year are Fresno State and San Jose State. The Bulldogs visit Boise Jan. 10, while the Broncos travel to San Jose Jan. 24. The Broncos’ two byes come after the midway point in the conference season on Wednesday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 24.

The Mountain West Women’s Basketball Championship will be March 5-7 with the championship game set for 1 p.m. (Mountain) on Friday, March 9th. The tournament will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on the campus of UNLV.
