BOISE, Idaho  - Gordy Presnell, Boise State’s head women’s basketball coach, announced today a couple changes to his staff with the promotion of Cariann Ramirez to assistant coach and the addition of Julia Fishman as the director of operations.

Ramirez, who has been the director of operations for the program for the last six seasons, has been moved up into an assistant coach position filling the vacancy left when Sunny Smallwood accepted a position at the University of Arizona last month. The 2005 Boise State graduate will now be involved primarily with practice sessions, game-day coaching, scouting and recruiting.

Ramirez’s previous coaching experience includes serving as an assistant at Boise High School from 2005-2009 and a short stint with the College of Idaho for the 2009-10 season before joining the Bronco staff as the director of operations. Julia Fishman served as the program’s operation assistant this past season helping Ramirez with the day-to-day operations of the program. The 2014 graduate of the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Wash., now assumes the role of director of operations responsible for organizing the day-to-day operations of the basketball office, coordinating travel, equipment and film exchange, as well as organizing summer camps, clinics, community service, on-campus recruiting, alumni relations and the Little Broncos Club.
