The Broncos are making their final push towards the defense of their 2007 regular season WAC title. They are currently tied with Fresno State for first place with an 11-2 conference record and three games remaining on the schedule. This week’s games are crucial to Boise State’s hopes of defending their championship and reaching the 20-win plateau for the second year in a row.
Thursday night against San Jose State is "Trading Card" night as the first 500 kids through the door get Boise State basketball trading cards. In addition, the world renowned Summerwind Skippers will perform at halftime. The Skippers have won the world championship in jump rope skipping and have had a major impact in advancing the sport in the region with their success.
Saturday night is "Senior Night" as the Broncos say thanks and farewell to their two seniors. The two are Jackie Lee a three-year starter from Avondale, Ariz. and Amanda Stewart who was a starter at center until injury sidelined her in January. Stewart is a local product out off Marsing, Idaho. Both have been major impact players for the Broncos over their careers. There will be a short pregame ceremony honoring the two before the tip with the Hawai’i Rainbow Wahine Saturday night.
