Marshall leads team with 15 points.

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Boise State could not get its shots to fall Saturday afternoon as the Broncos lost 84-64 at the University of Wyoming in a Mountain West women's basketball game at Laramie. It just was not Boise State's day as they shot 38.7 percent from the floor while Wyoming was on fire most of the game hitting 53.4 percent. Boise State was down 18 at the half and trailed by as many as 37 with five and half minutes left.

The loss extends the Bronco losing streak to four games while they go to 11-10 on the year and 2-4 in conference. Meanwhile,  Wyoming improved to 7-12 overall and 3-3 in league.

Julia Marshall led four Broncos in double-figure points with a season-high 15. The redshirt-sophomore came in off the bench in the second half to spark Boise State scoring 13 of her points in the final period, eight in the final four minutes. She went six-of-nine from the floor and three-of-four from beyond the arc.

Kati Isham was second in the scoring column with 12, followed by Lauren Lenhardt with 11 and Nicole Brady with 10. Kinzi Poteet led on the glass with seven rebounds to go with four points.

The Broncos opened the game fast scoring the first four points and led 12-7 with 14:56 to go in the first half. Unfortunately, Boise State ran into a wall after that as Wyoming rolled off a 19-6 run in the next seven and a half minutes to seize control of the game for good up 29-18 at the 7:38 mark.

Things did not improve after that as the Broncos were down 18, 45-27, at halftime. The second half saw Boise State improve its shooting from 34.4 percent from the floor in the first to 43.3 percent. But the Broncos continued to struggle defensively as they could not stop the Cowgirls.

Wyoming did a good job controlling the Broncos' top two scorers on the year holding Lenhardt and Isham to a combined five points in the second period after they each had nine in the first.

Two big keys for the Cowgirls was their ability to capitalized on points off turnovers 27 to eight and second chance points 18 to eight. They held a combined scoring advantage of 29 points in those two categories.

The largest deficit for the Broncos was 37 points, 80-43, with 5:31 to play. Boise State cut that down to 20 by the buzzer as the Broncos finished the game out scoring Wyoming 21 to four in the final 5:30.

Next up for Boise State is a home game against league leader San Diego State on Wednesday at Taco Bell Arena in Boise.
