BOISE, Idaho (11/30/14) - Camille Redmon recorded 17 points and eight rebounds Sunday afternoon to lead Boise State to a tough 13-point 58-45 victory over Carroll College of Montana at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos lead nearly the entire way but could not put away the Saints until late in the second period. Boise State held Carroll to three points in the final six minutes to stretch a seven point 49-42  lead out to a game-high 13 point advantage at the buzzer. 
The victory is the second straight for Boise State who improved to 4-2 on the year. Next up for the Broncos is a two-game road trip this coming weekend to Idaho State on Thursday and Utah Valley Saturday afternoon. 
Redmon, who started her third game of the year at center, led the Broncos in scoring for the first time with a season-high 17 points while shooting 64 percent (7-of-11) from the floor and going a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. The senior also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and recorded a team-best four blocks in 30 minutes of action.
Deanna Weaver notched her sixth-consecutive game in double-figure points with 10 to go with five boards, team-high (tied) four assists and two blocks in 34 minutes. Two other Broncos reached double-digit points as both Keiahnna Engel and Miquelle Askew finished with 11 each. 
On the day, Boise State shot 44 percent (23-of-52) from the floor, six percent (1-of-16) from the arc and 79 percent (11-of-14) from the free-throw line. 
Boise State dominated the paint outscoring the Saints by 20, 32-to-12, but the visitors stayed in the game from long range outscoring the Broncos 21-to-3 from beyond the arc.  
Carroll finished the contest shooting 30 percent (14-of-47) from the court, 35 percent (7-of-20) from 3-point range and 63 percent (10-of-16) from the charity stripe. The Saints did out rebound the Broncos by one 30-to-29. 
Two Saints finished in double-figure scoring led by Cassidy Hashley with 13 followed by Baylee Watson with 10. 
The first half was hot and cold for both sides as the teams traded runs. Boise State opened by racing out to a 11-3 lead seven minutes into the contest. Carroll rallied from 15-5 down at the 10:05 mark by capitalizing on Boise State turnovers to go on a 14-2 run that saw the Saints take their only lead at 19-17 with 5:59 remaining in the period. 
Boise State regrouped to shutout the Saints in the final six minutes of the half while rolling off a 10-0 run to finish the first 20 minutes up 27-19 heading into the break. Redmon led the Broncos in the half with team highs for points with eight and rebounds with seven in the period, Weaver followed with seven points.
The second half was close most of the way with the Broncos hanging onto the lead the entire time. Carroll rallied midway through the period closing to within one twice. The first came at 12:43 on a three-point play by Alison Sullivan to make it 35-34, as well as at the 11:24 mark when Hashley hit a jumper to make it 37-36 Broncos. 
Boise State responded after that slowly pulling out to a 10-point 49-39 advantage on a short Askew jumper with 6:26 to play. 
After Carroll's Kacie McKeon nailed a 3-pointer with 4:06 left to close the Boise State lead to six-points 51-45, the Broncos shutout the Saints in the final minutes to claim the 13-point win.
