Bronco Wrestling Signs Three Recruits

            BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Head Wrestling Coach Greg Randall announced the signing of three recruits to national letters of intent, Wednesday (Dec. 16), all of which will join the Broncos in the fall of 2010.

            Boise State has added two high school seniors and one junior college transfer to the 2010 class so far, which includes Deron Winn of St. Louis Community College Meramec in St. Louis, Mo. Winn, a sophomore from Liberty, Mo. (Liberty HS), red shirt last season after winning the 184-pound NJCAA National Championship in 2008.

            He is joined by Carson Kuhn, a 125-pound wrestler from Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. Kuhn is a two-time state champion who finished third at the Junior Nationals in freestyle. He was also the FILA Junior World Team Trials Champion, which earned him a spot on the United States FILA Junior World Team.

            Rounding out the Bronco recruiting class is Steven Hernandez, who is a senior at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev. Hernandez, who wrestles at 149 pounds for Bishop Gorman HS, is a three-time state champion. He also finished third in greco roman and was fifth in freestyle at Junior Nationals. Hernandez was also the NHSCA Folkstyle Sophomore Nationals Champion and the NHSCA Folkstyle Junior Nationals Champion.
