Border War Set for Saturday in Bronco Gym

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State wrestling team will host Pac-12 rival Oregon State in this season's first edition of the Border War, Saturday (Dec. 13). The wrestlers are scheduled to hit the mat at 7 p.m. in Bronco Gym.

Boise State will also wrestle at Oregon State, Feb. 8.

The Broncos (1-1) will be looking to reclaim the Border Axe from the Beavers (2-0), who won last year's finale, 34-6. Boise State defeated Oregon State in the first dual between the schools last season, winning 19-18 in Corvallis, Ore.

The Border Axe is a wooden trophy created by a former Boise State wrestler in 2009. The Border Axe has changed hands just three times since its inception.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for juniors (2-18) and seniors (62+), and can be purchased at Bronco Gym on the day of the dual. Students gain free entrance with a valid Boise State Student Identification Card.

Parking is free in the West Stadium lot.
