Wrestlers Set for Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State will send nine wrestlers to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational Dec. 5-6, in Las Vegas, Nev. The 33rd edition of the annual tournament will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Boise State is one of 39 schools with wrestlers at the invitational.

The tournament is scheduled to begin Friday at 10 a.m. (MT), with the quarterfinals scheduled for 7 p.m. Action will resume Saturday at 10 a.m., with the semifinals scheduled for 11 a.m. and the finals slated to begin at 4 p.m.

Individual and team champions will be crowned at the tournament.

LAST YEAR: The Broncos boasted three placers at the 2013 Cliff Keen Invitational, finishing in 11th place as a team. Heavyweight J.T. Felix finished second, 197-pounder Cody Dixon finished third and Jake Swartz (184) finished sixth. The Broncos' team finish was the highest amongst the five Pac-12 schools at the tournament.

SPOKANE OPEN: Boise State sent several wrestlers to the Spokane Open, Nov. 23. Redshirt freshman Jared Johnshoy went a perfect 5-0 en route to the individual title at 141 pounds, recording a pin, a technical fall and two major decisions along the way. Redshirt junior Taylor West (157) and senior Holden Packard (165) each finished runner-up in their respective weight classes.
