THE MATCH: The Boise State wrestling team will square off against Oregon State Sunday (Nov. 24) at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore., in this year's first edition of the Border War.

Oregon State will make a return trip to Boise, Feb. 7.

The Broncos (0-1), tied for 19th in the InterMat College Rankings, and the sixth-ranked Beavers (4-1) are slated to hit the mat at Noon (MT), and the match will be televised live by Pac-12 Oregon.

THE BORDER WAR: The Broncos will be looking to retain possession of The Border Axe, a wooden trophy created by a former Boise State wrestler in 2009. The Border Axe has changed hands just twice since its inception.

TV INFORMATION: The Broncos' match against the Beavers will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Oregon, part of the Pac-12 Networks. Jason Knapp will call the action, and Ken Chertow will serve as analyst.

PAC-12 OPENER: The dual will be the first Pac-12 match of the season for Boise State, which went 5-1 in league duals last season. The only loss came to the Beavers Nov. 24, 2012 (21-16) in Spokane Valley, Wash.

Boise State won five-straight Pac-12 duals to close the 2012-13 season, including a 19-15 victory over Oregon State in Corvallis, Jan. 5.

BATTLING IT OUT: The Broncos finished second at the Pac-12 Championships last season, scoring 136.5 points. Oregon State won the tournament with a score of 158.

The Broncos and Beavers have combined to win each of the last seven Pac-12 Championships, with Boise State winning three and Oregon State winning four - including each of the last two.

Since joining the Pac-12 for the 1987-88 season, the Broncos have won six conference championships.

IN THE RANKINGS: Boise State currently ranks tied for 19th in the InterMat College Rankings (Nov. 19) and No. 21 in WIN's Tournament Power Index (Nov. 18).

Individually, Jake Swartz (184) is ranked No. 5 by InterMat, No. 6 by WIN and No. 4 by AWN; J.T. Felix (285) is ranked No. 5 by each; and Brian Owen (141) is ranked No. 20 by InterMat.
