Bronco wrestling heads to New York for big weekend

Boise, Idaho Boise State’s wrestling team will face its biggest test of the season so far when the Broncos head east this weekend for the Body Bar tournament Saturday (Nov. 22) and Sprawl & Brawl Duals Sunday (Nov. 23). The Broncos will be at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. for the Body Bar Saturday before facing Edinboro University, Clarion University and Rutgers University in duals on Sunday in Binghamton, N.Y.

Boise State will send 15 wrestlers to New York and Head Coach Greg Randall said he will continue to mix up the Bronco starting line-up throughout the weekend. On Saturday Boise State is scheduled to meet No. 4 Cornell, No. 25 Kent State, Army, Buffalo, Drexel, Ithaca, Maryland, Millersville and Sacred Heart, according to the Cornell athletics website.

Sunday, Boise State’s biggest challenge will come from No. 15 Edinboro. The Fighting Scots currently have six wrestlers ranked in the USA Today/InterMat/NWCA top 20 in the 133, 149, 157, 165, 174, 184 and 285-pound weight classes.
